As a CPA after leaving an international accounting firm, Lisa A. Gioia began leveraging her considerable financial and leadership expertise as an independent auditor and accounting consultant in Philadelphia, PA and then in Kansas City, Missouri, where she worked for several nonprofit organizations. In addition to overseeing audits, she managed their budgets, cash flow, grant proposals, financial statements, and more. Previously, Ms. Gioia was an independent auditor with Laventhol & Horwath and a contract trainer for The Pew Charitable Trusts.
During the early stages of her career, Ms. Gioia gained valuable expertise in education, audit management, and finance in various roles with Eastern University, the Center for Professional Education, the Foundation for Accounting Education, and Laventhol & Horwarth.
